  1. Amanda, you did very well with each of your slides on this presentation. Each one was very straight to the point and didn't say too much. You did a great job at picking each of the poems you did because you chose some that had Cummings' iconic wacky all of the place style but then also some that were more generic pieces. I thought that you hesitated a couple times during the piece and seemed a bit nervous but that isn't anything that you should be docked for because overall you did a wonderful job explaining his life and his style. I love how you described each one of his relationships with his wives and how each marriage affected not only his life but his writing style as well. Great job!

  2. Hi Amanda, I think you did a very good job on your presentation on E.E. Cummings. I can tell you spent a lot of time on this presentation. I love how your slides were short and to the point. I think you did a great job on including critics criticism and quotes. I really enjoyed the different paintings you included from E.E. Cummings. One constructive criticism I have is that I thought you stumbled a little bit while reading one of Cummings' poem which is totally understandable because the lines of his poems are arranged in a strange way. Overall, I think you did a great job.

  3. Amanda did an amazing job analyzing a poet as complex as e.e. cummings. I think she really educated us about him, and did a wonderful job helping to explain why he wrote and what he wrote about. I also liked how she included not only his poetry, but his artwork. It really added to the dynamic of his artistry. I thought the slideshow was very well put together, and I liked that there were plenty of pictures. I think Amanda executed this perfectly. She thoroughly explained and supported everything throughout the presentation, and did a great job helping us to understand the complex poems, and beautiful art of e.e. cummings.

  4. Amanda, I really enjoyed your presentation. I learned a lot about e.e. Cummings that I didn't know before. One thing that I admired about your presentation is you really knew the information. You had short bullets on your presentation and knew the information that went with the bullet by heart. You definitely were not just reading off the presentation, which is a hard thing not do so I really thought it was awesome that you avoided it so well.

I had no idea that he did art so I loved hearing about that along with the interesting stories that went along with the art.

One suggestion I have is I would have loved to hear even more about his poetry or have heard a reading from him. It felt very biography heavy, which was still interesting, but a good balance of both bio and poetry would be awesome!

    Great job, Amanda!

  5. I really like how you mentioned that he was also an artist and painter, among other things, it sort of pointed to the fact that most of his poetry works are so wild in the arrangement. I definitely shouldn't be the one to say this to you, but you were a little nervous at times, you don't have to be, it was good. I thought that your PowerPoint slides were great; few words and an awesome background.

  6. I thought you did a great job at preparing for this presentation. I got the feeling that you really took the time to learn about Cummings and his style of poetry. I did not know that he was second to Robert Frost at the time in terms of poetry popularity! I thought that was a great fact to add into the presentation. I think your biography went well and was the best part of the presentation.
My criticism would be to have presented one of Cummings more popular poems rather than giving the audience only a snapshot of one of his styles of poetry. I did enjoy all the unique forms the poems had, but I think a couple popular poems would have captured his style better.

  7. Amanda, you did such a good job on your presentation. I really liked that you included his artwork and the poems that seem to reflect that style of art he had. You had a little trouble reading the poem but that is understandable considering how it was laid out on the page. Over all, good job!
